Hi

Since before i can even remember ive always loved getting creative, as a child i loved watching the art attack show after school and i would recreat some of his projects.

I went to college after high school and got qualifications in hair dressing but then went onto get ting qualified in childcare what i really wanted to do.

I've always worked even in high school i had a Saturday job, i was a nursery nurse for a few years then became the deputy manager of the nursery.

In January 2013 i had my son Kaylem but was also having some back issues while pregnant so had to stop working.

It was driving me crazy just been at home even with being a full time mummy, I started looking on YouTube for knitting tutorials because i love anything handmade but i came across something called crochet ( its with hooks not needles).

i soon got the hang of this and was making a range of items like hats, headbands and blankets.

In may 2014 i had my daughter eve so things was hectic and i had less time on my hands with having two children at a young age, i still did crochet and made eve her baby blankets plus people  was ordering things from me after seeing them on my Facebook profile.

This went on for a few years but i wanted to do more and thats when i saw tutorials for resin creations and fell in love,

I ordered most of the things i needed and made a few trinket boxes but found out i was pregnant so it had to wait for a while as you cant work with it while pregnant just to be safe.

In January 2021 hope arrived by c section at 36 weeks. we was told at my 20 week scan she had a heart defect but was stable when she was born. at 2 weeks old she was rushed to Leeds for keyhole surgery and we was home a few days later for the first time in 3 weeks.

At two months old we wash rushed to leeds again because her condition had gotton worse and she needed open heart surgery, She was unstable after this and became really poorly needing a second open heart surgery 2 weeks after the first to survive.

she came out of it stronger even though they didn't give her a 5% chance of surviving and she only has one pumping chamber now.

fast forward a little and ive added a few more services to my list, my Sketched logos do really well and i have lots of interest in these, my logos started by adding a picture onto my profile of a logo i created for myself then others wanted the same, i do these on my iPad pro 12.9 using the apple pencil and a few sketching programs like procreate and ibis paint.

in April 2022 we sadly lost my nan which was a devastating time for the family, i made some resin jewellery for family members which had my nans hair in them and since then memorial jewellery is my most popular piece i make with resin.

I also have the cricut maker and a sewing machine ive made a few items with including memory pillows with my nans tops and added vinyl with a message onto it.

 

So that's my story so far but made a lot shorter or this post would never end. My future plans are to start doing acrylic paint pouring on canvas. Hope is having heart surgery again in 2 weeks but after that they don't have to do anything until she's about 5/6 so once she has recovered i can start my next passion, also i plan to make YouTube  video content and share my work with more people.

As for my health and mobility it will only get worse, I have degenerative disc disease in my spine, osteoarthritis in my hips and possibly other areas and fibromyalgia but i want to still do what i love while i can still do it.

Update as of sept 2023 about Hope, march this year she had open heart surgery again to perform the glenn procedure, everything went well with the surgery but hopes heart wouldn't beat by itself after. we waited a week with her on a temporary pacemaker to give hers a chance to kick in but unfortunately it didnt. Hope has a full heart block now aswell and had to go to surgery again to have a pacemaker fitted, she recovered amazingly like the warrior she is and is loving life now she can play like a normal toddler. Next surgery will be when shes around 6 or 7 and shes 3 now so a while yet.
